Pai Chan

Even though Pai is Lau's daughter, there is little love between the two - while Lau pursued his obsessive search for perfection, Pai's mother toiled so hard to support the family that she died of overwork. Pai never forgave Lau for her mother's death, and swore that someday she would beat Lau at his own game. Though she did not have what it took to defeat him in the last Tournament, this time she is armed with a few new techniques that just might knock Lau out of the champion's position. And with Lau out of the way, the others should fall like dominoes.

VF1 Storyline

She is a leading star in Hong Kong action films. Her moods change as quickly as a cat's - she can erupt in passion in one minute, and turn icy cold in the next. Lau's only daughter, Pai was especially trained by her father in martial arts from a young age. Lau was jealous of her superior abilities, however, so she ran away from home at 16 when her mother died. Two years later, she had become a success in the movie industry. After recieving word that her father was going to enter the World Fighting Tournament, she also threw her hat in the ring.

VF2 Storyline

Pai took part in the first World Fighting Tournament to test her skills. It revealed that she was rather weak so she decided to train for a year before entering the second World Fighting Tournament. During the past year, she has incorporated her own techniques and tactics into her fighting style. She is determined to defeat her father for pursuing his own ideals at the expense of his family.

The Virtua Fighter 2: Pai FAQ v1.00 by Steve Suh. Another excellent and thorough character analysis.  It even includes specific moves to use against certain opponents to take advantage of their weeknesses. Now you can use this feisty little actress to kick some serious adult butt!
